A few bits of good news. Alice Walsh has had a story accepted for the Scottish Wave of Change Anthology due out this summer which will also feature A.L Kennedy and Alan Warner, Fiona Thackeray’s new short story collection is on the long list for the Edge Hill Short Story Prize – full list on their website – Maurice Gartshore has a short story in the current edition of Northwords now and Kate Smart’s Blog is also reviewed in there. Well done also to Andy Jackson and Deborah Trayhurn who have both had poems accepted for the next edition of New Writing Scotland. For those who were at The County last week I have been in touch with Margaret Gillies Brown and she is fine, hoping to get back to the group when the nights are a bit lighter. Her bungalow should be ready in May. She sends her love to everyone.
